Randy Mucha
Randy Mucha started as a Patrol Officer in 1987 and earned a promotion to Sergeant in 1999 after serving as an Assistant Shift Commander for several years. Randy served as a K-9 handler from 1993-2000 with Police Dog Marlo. Randy is married and has one son and two German Shepherd Dogs. Randy has served as a Field Training Officer, Training Coordinator, Fleet Manager, Crash Reconstructionist, Juvenile Officer, Breathalyzer Operator, Bicycle Officer, Detective Sergeant, Internal Affairs Investigator and Acting Division Commander. Randy received a Criminal Justice degree in 1984 from College Of DuPage. In 1999 he completed the Northwestern University Supervision of Police Personnel (SPP) program. In 2001 Randy earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Social Justice (CSJ) from Lewis University and in 2002 a Masters of Arts Degree in Leadership. He also completed the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) in 2002. Over the past twenty years Randy Mucha has been involved in the training and/or supervision of approximately 40 officers. Randy donates his services as Webmaster for the Illinois Police Work Dog Association (ILPWDA). Supported charities include American Cancer Society, St Jude's Children's Hospital and Habitat for Humanity. Randy and his wife's hobbies include auto racing, live music and photography.
